Redneck Thanksgiving Date
Woody will be over fer Thanksgiving. JD will be comin’ over, fer Thanksgiving dinner and pie. He has himself a Thanksgiving date. They are suppose to go out huntin before she heads over to dinner with her kinfolk. I think going huntin fer their date is just a way for both of them to get out of help’n with the fixin of the food! JD’s date might come over fer pie, so I will get an extra one. Hope she ain’t fat and eats more than one.
Well, since it is jest the three of us…everyone else is head’n out of town fer the holidays, I’m gonna keep it simple. Them there boys won’t be much help except for the drinkin of the Wild Turkey. I’m stick’n with Jack, but them there boys need Wild Turkey fer the holidays.
REDNECK SHOPPING LIST FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER
Wild Turkey-one gallon
Frozen turkey loaf-dark and white meat pieces
Sweet potatoes-one can
Marshmallow cream-one jar
Gravy-two cans
Pecan pie-5 mini ready made pies
Potatoes-two pouches instant
Cranberries-one can
Green beans-one can
I throw a few tablespoons of flour in the gravy to make in lumpy like mama’s. Marshmallow cream is so much easier than trying to get the whole marshmallows just right.
